Madison's bought by Fletcher House, to be a sport bar

Madison's Prime Rib and Steak has a new owner and is now called Fletcher's.
Fletcher House, owner, took over the restaurant on Sept. 1 from its previous owner, Kathy Myers, and changed the name on Thursday.
The restaurant offers steak, ribs, seafood, oysters, scallops and has a vegetable bar, he said. House also owns Central Lunch on Center Street and said some of those cooks have started working at Fletcher's preparing similar food.
He is in the process of reopening the bar that was at Madison's and turning it into a sports bar.
The restaurant is at 413 E. New Hope Road in Goldsboro. Its hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. A breakfast buffet is served Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and it re-pens from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and it is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Monday.
