Mrs. Barnhart

Jennifer Grey Pelt of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Michael Wallace Barnhart of Mount Pleasant exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 16, 2016, at 4:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Thomas C. Harrington officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Julius Grey Pelt and Sharon Rogers Pelt of Raleigh and the granddaughter of the late Adie Grey Pelt and Addie Mae Pelt of Goldsboro and the late Norman Monroe Rogers and Daphene Harrelson Rogers of Loris, S.C.

She graduated from the College of Charleston in 2003 with a degree in special education. She is employed as a sales rep at Aleph Wine Corp.

The groom is the son of Michael Harry Barnhart and Alexa Moore Barnhart of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Harry Williams Barnhart and Bertha Meinke Barnhart of York, Pa., and Betty Jean Moore and the late Duncan Wallace Moore of Cheraw, S.C.

The groom attended North Carolina State University. He is employed as a longtime associate at Green Carolina.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her mother and father.

She wore a Justin Alexander fit-and-flare gown of ivory venetian lace over champagne silk featuring a Queen Ann neckline and an illusion back. Jennifer wore her mother’s fingertip silk illusion veil trimmed with the matching venetian lace. The bride carried a spring bouquet of ivory, champagne and pale pink roses with larkspur, snapdragons, blue thistle and greenery. A handkerchief belonging to her maternal great grandmother was sown into the hem of her dress.

Mrs Lisa Miller served as matron of honor, while bridesmaids were Miss Sarah Barnhart, sister of the groom, Mrs. Kellie Helms and Mrs. Kelly Sullivan.

Mr. Mike Barnhart served as best man.

Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Petrini, Mr. Eric Helms and Mr. Jonathan Greeson.

Ushers were Mr. Trent Tinder and Mr. Michael Fairbarin.

Mrs. Lauren Graham directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Miss Caroline Bradbury. Miss Lindsay Helms distributed programs.

A reading was given by Ms. Mindy Condon, a close friend of the bride.

Jason Pedeaux was organist.

The bride’s parents entertained with a reception after the wedding at Dunes West Golf and River Club in Mount Pleasant

After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Mount Pleasant, S.C.

The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Annie’s French Bistro in Mount Pleasant.

The day before the wedding, the groom’s aunts and maternal grandmother entertained with a bridesmaids’ luncheon at 82 Queen.
