Sidney Leigh Worrell and Christopher Michael King exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 23, 2016, at 6 p.m. at Rose Hill Plantation, with Joey Lancaster officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Paul Howard Worrell and Mary Thompson Worrell of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Sidney Thompson, George Norwood Howell and Lowrise Howell of Goldsboro, N.C., and the late Paul Worrell Sr. and Kathleen Worrell of Goldsboro, N.C.

She is employed as a registered nurse.

The groom is the son of Michael and Patti King of Pikeville and the grandson of Rebecca Dondero and the late David Dondero of Huntingtown, Md. He is also the grandson of Charles and Doris Easterling of Columbia, S.C.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Paul Worrell.

Wedding colors consisted of ivory, champagne, gold and black.

She wore an ivory dress with a lace overlay.

Kourtney Humphrey was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Leslie Byrd, Virginia Lewis, Kasie Braswell, Emily King and Samantha Pierce.

Honorary bridesmaids were Ladonna Worrell, Amy Johnson, Linzy Howell, Courtney Hill, Kelsey Seymour and Karli Beasley.

Michael King served as best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Worrell, Matthew King, Nicholas King, Ryan Bennett and Jaden Winter.

Maddie Lewis was flower girl.

Ayden Howell was ringbearer.

Lyn Graves directed the wedding.

Presiding at the register was Katy Easterling.

Sarah Sikora and Kyle Williamson distributed programs.

John Warren was the vocalist during the wedding ceremony.

DJ Joe Bunn provided music during the ceremony and reception.

A reception took place at Nathan Hall on the plantation grounds at Nashville, N.C. Cake was provided by Ashley Cakes out of Garner, N.C.

After a wedding trip to Sandals Resort, Grenada, West Indies, the couple resides in Pikeville, N.C.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Rose Hill Plantation.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaid’s luncheon held at Ed’s April 9 hosted by Vicky Howell and Lynnette Howell; a miscellaneous shower hosted by the church and family and friends of the bride and groom; and a monogram shower hosted by the bridesmaids.
