Mrs. Price

Carmen Elizabeth Sauls and Andrew Stewart Price exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 6 at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Leigh Gillis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Malloy Sauls of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richard Hoyle Sr. of Sanford and Mr. Joe Ben Sauls and the late Mrs. Katie Fields Sauls of Goldsboro.

She is a graduate of Salem College with a bachelor of arts degree in art history and arts management. She is employed by Monkee’s Franchising LLC in Winston-Salem.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lee Price of Clemmons and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burl Edward Carder of Wheeling, W. Va., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Dean Price of Uhrichsville, Ohio.

He is a graduate of Capital University with a bachelor of arts degree in business management. He earned his juris doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. He is a founding partner of the law firm Collins Price PLLC in Winston-Salem.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a sleeveless ball gown of ivory English net with sheer straps, capped with Swarovski crystal beading with a beaded design accent at the waist. Lace appliqué surrounded the skirt and chapel-length train. In her hair, she wore a double-layered ivory tulle cathedral-length veil with fingertip blusher. She carried a hand-tied cascading bouquet of white peonies, roses, lisianthus and freesia.

Emily Anne Sauls of Goldsboro was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amber Lankford Fleming of Mount Airy, Lauren Michelle Redman of Dobson, Sarah Elizabeth Kaindl of Munich, Germany, Kolby Lynn Kucyk of Tampa, Fla., Jane Louise Wetherholt of Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer Marie Price of Naples, Fla., and Amanda Marie Purser of Nashville, Tenn.

Michael Zachary Price of Naples, Fla., was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Andrew Blake Sachs of Winston-Salem, Raymond Carl Genco of Las Vegas, Nev., Seth Hunter Haswell of Pataskala, Ohio, Ryan Timothy Kinder of Houston, Texas, Travis James Margo of Long Beach, Calif., Samuel Casey Sneed of Coronado, Calif., and Steven Mark Strayer of Galena, Ohio.

Rylee Colleen Price and Grace Marie Price, nieces of the groom, were junior bridesmaids. Carder Sondles Price, nephew of the groom, was junior groomsman.

Ellen Jordan directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jayson Keeton, organist, and Daryl Richardson, trumpeter.

Stephanie Desireé Knight and William Roy Partin, friends of the bride and groom, distributed programs.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at their home. Kay Ballance was the reception coordinator.

Events held before the wedding included a “Monograms and Mimosas” shower hosted by friends and family in Winston-Salem; an “I Do” barbecue engagement party hosted by friends in Winston-Salem; a bridal shower hosted by Peg Price, Marilyn Bateman and Barbara Bradshaw at First Presbyterian Church; a bridesmaids’ luncheon hosted by Marilyn Bateman, Sharon Bull and Debbie Richter at the Bateman Home; and a wedding eve dessert party hosted by friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Gaylor III.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 5 at Ed’s Southern Food and Spirits.

After their wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Winston-Salem.
