Amber Danielle Ostheim and Jason Glen Talton were united in holy matrimony in a worshipful candlelight ceremony Friday evening, May 22, 2015, at 6 o’clock in the evening. Pastor Paul Evans officiated in the double-ring ceremony at Wilmington First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with pastor Jerry Green serving communion to the couple.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Phillis Ostheim of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Quinn and the late Aubrey “A.D.” Quinn of Mount Olive and the late Robert and Mary Jane Ostheim of Florida.

The groom is the son of Kaye Talton and the late James “Buddy” Talton of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Elma Rae Stevens of Goldsboro, the late James Talton of Princeton and the late Sam and Ruby Parrish of Selma.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory chiffon featured with an enhanced waistline in a wrap-and-flair style, which flowed into a sweeping train. The sweetheart neckline was accented by encrusted halter straps transforming into a beaded racer back that was defined by embellished beads, sequins and crystals.

For her headpiece, she chose a European single-layered veil accented with scalloped edges alternating with iridescent stones. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangea hand-tied with sheer ribbon.

Christel Mozingo, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, as well as vocalist. Bridesmaids were Crystal Ostheim, sister in law of the bride; Mary-Catherine Talton, sister in law of the groom; and Penny Barefoot, friend of the couple.

Junior bridesmaids were Brianna Mozingo, niece of the bride, and Ella-Rose Talton, niece of the groom.

Flower girl was Aubrey Ostheim, niece of the bride.

The ringbearer was Landon Barefoot, friend of the couple.

Bryan Talton, brother of the groom, was best man, standing in for the late Buddy Talton. Groomsmen were Graham Mozingo, brother in law of the bride; Wesley Barefoot, friend of the couple; and in spirit, the late Garrett Ostheim, brother of the bride.

Loala Evans, friend of the couple, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was the Wesley Barefoot family, friends of the couple. A program of wedding music was coordinated by Krissy Witt, friend of the bride, who was also a vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the couple was escorted by horse and carriage to a dinner reception hosted by the bride’s parents in the historic district at 128 South in Wilmington.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Wilmington.

The bride is a graduate of North Duplin High School, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in business administration and a master of science degree from the University of Central Michigan. She is currently employed as the assistant Administrator and mediation coordinator for the law firm of Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm and Sayed LLP in Wilmington.

The groom is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and graduated from Wayne Community College in Goldsboro. He is currently employed at Labriola’s Automotive in Wilmington.

May 21, the groom’s mother, Kaye Talton, hosted a rehearsal dinner at The River Room in downtown Wilmington.

Other celebrations included a lingerie shower May 16 hosted by the bridal party; a luncheon shower April 24 hosted by the law firm; a miscellaneous shower April 10 hosted by Krissy Witt and the Women’s Ministries of Wilmington FPH Church; and a shower March 7 hosted by family and friends.
