Mrs. Hyde

Teresa Liles Rouse of High Point and Radford Blaze Hyde of High Point exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 19, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Camp Cheerio, with Richard Hendley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clinton Rouse of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wilkins of Goldsboro, Ray Norman Rouse Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the late Hortense Liles Rouse of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2003 and North Carolina State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in parks, recreation and tourism management. She is employed as a program director at Camp Cheerio.

The groom is the son of Roy Anthony Hyde of High Point and Barbara Spurlin Hyde of Arden and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kimsey Hyde of Andrews and the late Mr. and Mrs.Theron Tue Spurlin of Forest City.

He graduated in 2009 from Ledford Senior High School in Thomasville. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in strategic communications from High Point University in 2012. He is employed as a program director at Camp Cheerio.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an off-white lace gown with lace cap sleeves, a fit-and-flare silhouette paired with a soft organza sash. She wore a cathedral-length veil with a blusher. She carried a bouquet of Easter lilies.

Eva Rouse Cook served as matron of honor, and Betty Brandt Rouse was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Mary Rouse, sister-in-law of the bride, Catie Thomas and Callie Childs.

Jacob Hyde, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Clint Rouse, brother of the bride; Jay Cook, brother-in-law of the bride; Cory Alcon; Dustin Lyles; Charles Myers; and Matt Potter.

Ushers were Jack Crocker, Luke Crocker, Patrick French, Nick Greene, Ryan Greene, Austin Hendley and Charles Setzer-Hayes.

Attendants were Ashlyn Day, Kayla Hedgecock, Tess Hendley, Abbey Welch and Kelly Williams.

Music was provided by guitarist Cory Alcon. Vocalists were Catie Thomas, Jennifer Johnson and Cory Alcon. The wedding was directed by Catherine Jones.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Camp Cheerio.

After a wedding trip to the North Carolina mountains, the couple will reside in High Point.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Barbara Hyde, mother of the groom, and Betty and Kenneth Wilkins, grandparents of the bride.

The rehearsal dinner was followed by a dance hosted by the bride’s family.

A brunch the day of the wedding was held at Camp Cheerio hosted by friends of the bride. Martyn Armstrong, food service director at Camp Cheerio, catered the weekend.

An engagement party was held in High Point hosted by Charles Setzer-Hayes and Ashlyn Day during the weekend of the ice storm with no power.

Michelle Crocker hosted a shower in High Point for the bride.

A bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at Olde Beau Golf Club hosted by Aundrea Hendley, Catherine Jones and Jayne Lessard.
