Coley-Sasser
Jenny Lee Coley and Matthew Phillip Sasser exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 1, 2013, at 5 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mount Olive, with pastor Jeffrey Dail officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Coley Jr. of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Mrs. Cleone King and the late Durwood King of Mount Olive and Mr. James Coley and the late Audrey Coley of Faison.
The bride is a 2008 honor graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as a third grade teacher at Grantham School in Wayne County, and is currently pursuing her master's degree in reading education.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sasser of Warsaw and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sasser of Indian Springs, Ms. Jean Herring of Mount Olive and the late Mr. Jimmy Herring of LaGrange.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of North Duplin High School. He is employed with Nash Johnson and Son, and is currently completing his agri-business degree.
The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents and twin sister.
The bride wore an Allure ivory and silver V-neckline, sheath two-piece gown with charmeuse satin lining and a lace applique overlay. The lace overlay was adorned with embroidery and crystals. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of Malibu and orange gerberas, yellow roses, green athos and fern fronds embellished with aqua accents and bound with burlap.
Brittney Nicole Coley, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Casey Pate Braswell, friend of the bride; Ashley Marie Heath, niece of the groom; Casey Nichole Holden, friend of the bride; Heather Rose Hudson, friend of the bride; Ashley Kelly Stevens, cousin of the bride; and Brooke Kelly Whitfield, cousin of the bride.
Honorary bridesmaids were Stacy Carter Hadzijahic, Melissa Carter Lewis, Megan Nicole Sinclair and Kathyrn Olivia Swinson, all cousins of the bride.
Robert Leslie Sasser, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Brent Austin Bradshaw, friend of the groom; Jeffrey Tyler Brown, friend of the groom; Jordan Parker Heath, nephew of the groom; Jason Alan Nunn, friend of the groom; Robert Michael Sasser, brother of the groom; and Timothy Lee Wolfe, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Matthew Shea Braswell, friend of the groom; Sherman Douglass Hyatt, friend of the groom; and Randy Quinton King Jr., cousin of the bride.
Little ones were Caden Brock Dail and Lucas Craig Dail, friends of the couple, and Christian Palmer Ennis, Perri Carolina Ennis, Alexis Shae Lewis, Gage Michael Lewis, Joseph Benjamin Nassef, Davis Jacob Nassef and Garrett Michael Stevens, all cousins of the bride.
Mrs. Nikki Ennis and Mrs. Rebekah Nassef, cousins of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Karen Best and Alonna Pate, friends of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Caitlin Hunt, vocalist and cousin of the bride; Kenton Lane, vocalist, Hunter Brock, musician; and Jerry Strickland, musician.
The reception was held outside at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Coley Jr. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Bradley King, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Ruth Carter and Mrs. Ann Kelly, both aunts of the bride, served wedding cake.
After a honeymoon to Charleston, S.C., the couple will reside at 244 Garner Chapel Road in Mount Olive, N.C.
A rehearsal dinner pig-picking was held at Sleepy Creek Country Club.
Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower given by family of the bride at the home of Ruth Carter Dec. 9, 2012; a lingerie shower given by Stacy Hadzijahic, Melissa Lewis and Brittney Coley April 12, 2013, at the home of Stacy Hadzijahic; a miscellaneous bridal shower given by family of the bride and groom April 14, 2013, at Calypso Baptist Church; a bachelorette/lingerie party given by friends of the bride in Myrtle Beach, S.C., April 19-21, 2013; a miscellaneous bridal shower given by co-workers of the bride at Grantham School May 2, 2013; a bachelor party given by friends of the groom at Topsail Island May 3-5; a miscellaneous bridal shower given by the ladies of Rones Chapel United Methodist Church May 5, 2013; a lawn and tool shower given by Mr. and Mrs. Gene Sasser May 19 2013, at their home; a pantry stocking shower given by co-workers of the groom's mother at Southern Bank May 21, 2013; a bridesmaids' luncheon hosted by Sue Davis and Rebekah Nassef at Walnut Creek Country Club May 25, 2013, at which time the bride presented her bridal party with gifts; and a luncheon provided for the bridal party the day of the wedding by Ben and Brooke Whitfield.
