Anna Fonvielle Vinson and Thomas Wayne Sevier Jr. were married at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro. The Rev. Andrew Ross Clark officiated.

Following the ceremony a reception and dance was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Allen Vinson III of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Allen Vinson Jr. of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moore Fonvielle also of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Ms. Evaline Jane Marshall of Charlotte and Mr. Thomas Wayne Sevier of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lloyd Newell McCall of Denver, the late Mr. and Mrs. Coy Thomas Sevier of Cary and the late Mr. James Bethune Marshall Jr. of Charlotte.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Caroline Vinson Carr of Raleigh, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Julia Anna Garrison of Raleigh, Elizabeth Parker Harris of Raleigh, Evaline Jane Sevier of Charlotte, Holly Best Sutton of Goldsboro and Catherine Louise Thomas of Raleigh.

Michael William Dyer of Richmond, Va., was the best man.

Groomsmen were Andrew Lamberson Nesbitt of Charlotte, William Ayres Nichols III, of Charlotte, Prashant Ravi Rao of Charlotte, Christopher Ray Wall of Arlington, Va., and Thomas Anthony Williams of Arlington, Va.

Greeters were Kelly Knowles DeVilling of Austin, Texas, Brooke Deans Lawrence of Winterville and Elizabeth Neese Woodard of Goldsboro.

The bride graduated from Peace College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a sales representative for the Raleigh News and Observer.

The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is director of state public affairs for Moore and Van Allen in Raleigh.

After a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple will live in Raleigh.
