Jessica Marie Turner of Goldsboro and Adam Philip Keener of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Church, with Alvin Keener and Steve Holder officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Phyllis Hinson Turner of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Toby and Ruth Hinson of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2003 and Wayne Community College in 2009 with a teacher associate degree. She is employed as program director at Shiloh Farm Ministry.

The groom is the son of Alvin Clark and Lillian Gardner Keener of LaGrange and the grandson of Donna Gardner of Screven, Ga.

He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2003 and Wayne Community College 2006 with a turf management degree. He is employed as loader at UPS.

The bride was escorted by Wade Teague, friend of the family, and given in marriage by her grandfather and mother.

She wore a n ivory one-shoulder chiffon flowing A-line gown with floral accents on the waist and strap.

Her headpiece was a diamond-studded double headband.

The bride carried an arm bouquet of calla lilies.

Laurin Turner was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Melinda Keener, sister-in-law of the groom, and Elizabeth Barricklow and Samantha Lawrence, friends of the bride.

George Sullivan was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Mark Keener, brother of the groom, and Drew McGowan and Steven Reese, friends of the groom.

Presley Keener, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Bryce Keener, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Lisa Pettus directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Stewart and Kristie Howell. Cameron Howell and Brittany Simon, friends of the bride, distributed the programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Lane, pianist; Blake Holder, vocalist; and the Bethel Band.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church family life center.

After their wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a shower Sept. 10 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church and a shower Sept. 11 at Bethel Church.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bethel Church.
