Michelle Kay Connor of Goldsboro and Christopher Boyd Walker of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. at Lane Tree Country Club, with the Rev Ralph Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Cindy Connor of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Phyllis Latocki of Wilsonville, Ore., and the late Raymond Latocki.

She is a 1998 graduate of Lakenheath American High School at RAF Lakenheath, England, and a 2006 graduate of James Sprunt Community college with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Patsy Walker of Goldsboro and the grandson of Betty Walker, the late Max Walker, Hazel Pearce and the late Ward Pearce of Goldsboro.

He is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. He is employed as an engineer with Goldsboro Fire Department.

The bride was escorted by Roger May, family friend, and given in marriage by her mother.

She wore a white strapless diamond organza A-line gown with a cathedral train, a by-pass pleat wrapped bodice with embroidered waist detail, appliqué pick-ups on the skirt and a lace-up back, adorned with crystals, pearls, beads and sequins.

Her headpiece was a white single-layer fingertip-length veil with a lace edge.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of hydrangeas, pink lily, pink roses, white daisies and orchids.

Kimberly Benton was her sister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jamie Sturgill, Tammy Mozingo and Susan Lethco, friends.

Brandon Walker was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Waylon Walker, brother of the groom, and Steve Mozingo and Rob Loreman, friends.

Ushers were Kevin Benton, brother-in-law of the bride, the best man and the groomsmen.

Taylor Benton, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Dana Southerland directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Leeann Loreman.

A program of wedding music was provided by Thomas Vick.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club.

After their wedding cruise to Alaska, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower June 11 at the home of the bride’s mother hosted by Kimberly Benton, sister of the bride; a bridal lunch Aug. 5 at Southern Exposure in Faison hosted by Lois Merritt; and a tool party July 30 at the home of Ted Best hosted by Patsy Walker, Brandon Walker, Best and Steve Mozingo.

The bride’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 12 at her home.
