Brittany Lauren Peedin and Ross Barefoot exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. at Princeton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Coppock officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry Peedin and Kathy Boyette of Princeton and the granddaughter of Cornelia Peedin, the late Albert Peedin, Linda Pittman and the late Harold Pittman of Princeton.

She is a 2006 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2010 graduate of Pitt Community College. She is employed as a registered cardiac sonographer at Rex UNC Healthcare.

The groom is the son of Mark and Donna Barefoot of Dunn and the grandson of J. L. and Mary Barefoot and David and Vibra Herring of Dunn.

He is a 2005 graduate of South Johnston High School and a 2010 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution and logistics. He is employed at Goodyear in Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of ivory duchess satin featuring a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was enhanced with gathered ruching pleating throughout the A-line shirt and lead into a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a single-tiered view of silk illusion

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white roses, lilies and miniature callas wrapped in satin ribbon with rhinestone buttons .

Kristina Peedin was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Paige Boyette, Anna Winters, Kaitlyn Haddock, Mandy Wellons, Megan Barefoot, sister of groom, Brittany Corey and Elizabeth Jones.

Mark Barefoot was best man.

Groomsmen were Aaron Barefoot, brother of the groom, Kane Daniels, Corey Narron, Brooks Winters, Jared Barefoot, Scotty Boyette and Jonathan Johnson.

Shyanna Miller was flower girl.

Todd and Shannon Miller directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Betsy Hood. Austin Peedin distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Scott Boyette, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Gurley House in Princeton.

After their wedding trip to the Dominican Republic and Punta Cana, the couple will reside in Dunn.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ brunch at the home of Terry Blackmon, aunt of the bride, hosted by Linda Pittman, grandmother of the bride, Ms. Blackmon and Rosemary Gatewood, friend of the bride, and an engagement party at the Elks Lodge hosted by family and friends.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Becky’s Log Cabin in Smithfield.
