Eva Elizabeth Rouse of Raleigh and Judson Aslan Cook of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 11 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Chris Hankins officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Charles Clinton Rouse and Hannah Wilkins Rouse of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Ray Norman Rouse Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Hortense Liles Rouse, Dr. Kenneth Worth Wilkins and Betty Snider Wilkins of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2002 and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is employed as a design center administrator at MI Homes.

The groom is the son of Debra Wynn Cook and the late Rev. Dr. Paul Edwin Cook of Hickory and the grandson of the late Charles and Mamie Lacy Cook of Pineville, W.Va., and the late Larris Bonner Wynn and Dorothy Perry Wynn of Williamston.

He graduated from Fred T. Foard High School in Hickory in 2001 and North Carolina State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in horticulture. He attends Campbell University for a Masters of Divinity. He is employed as pastor at Starting Point Church.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a silk taffeta strapless gown with a pleated bodice and an asymmetrical draped silhouette. It had an A-line skirt with gathered back treatment towards a diamond white chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was an ivory one-tiered elbow-length veil with a beaded edge.

The bride carried a bouquet of miniature calla lilies, white tulips and hyacinths.

Betty Brandt and Teresa Rouse were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Bria Cook, sister of the groom, Ashley Ozburn, Robin Peacock, Lee Topal, Kelly Wick and Mary Rouse, sister-in-law of the bride.

Matthew Bradham was best man.

Groomsmen were Nate Cooke, Joe Duquette, Josh Edmonds, David Lawrimore, David Myers, Travis Welch and Clint Rouse, brother of the bride.

Jane Walston directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Courtney Chewning. Kathryn Jeffreys distributed the programs.

Margaret Lee Wilkins, cousin of the bride, was Scripture reader.

A program of wedding music was provided by Michael Farrow, pianist; Michael Farrow, vocalist; and Michael Farrow, guitarist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Secrets Maroma Beach, Mexico, the couple will reside in Raleigh,.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party and shower in Raleigh hosted by friends and a shower, picnic, bridesmaids’ luncheon and wedding day brunch in Goldsboro hosted by friends and family.

The groom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
