Jennifer Louise Smith and Michael Brent Graham exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 2 at 4 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church in Dudley, with the Rev. Jim Turbyfill officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ray Smith and Kathy McCullen Smith of Dudley and the granddaughter of the late Hallie W. Smith and Nellie H. Woodard of Newton Grove and the late T.H. McCullen and Mildred Brogden McCullen of Dudley.

She graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2000 and Wayne Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist at Goldsboro Dental Arts.

The groom is the son of William Stuart Graham and Patricia Roach Graham of Dudley and the grandson of the late William E. Graham and Doris E Graham of Goldsboro and the late Willie Jackson and Laverne Jackson of Vicksburg, Miss.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1997. He is employed as parts manager at Wynn Odom Ford.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents and sisters.

She wore a white strapless tulle and organza ballgown with beaded lace and a vertical ruffle skirt.

Her headpiece was a chapel-length veil with a crystal and daisy headpiece

The bride carried an all-white bouquet of peonies, calla lilies, pearls and crystals handwrapped satin with her grandmother’s pendant.

Ashton Young was her friend’s matron of honor, while Amy smith and Megan Smith, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Brandy Graham and Margeaux Graham, sisters-in-law, and Kristen Bunn, cousin of the groom.

William Graham was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Billy Graham and Jason Graham, brothers of the groom; Timmy Graham, cousin of the groom; and Brandon Bass and Steven Holt, friends.

Ushers were Christopher Strickland and Sammy Westbroke.

Morgan Radford, daughter of the groom, and Anna Stover, friend of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Ava Smith, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Everette Graham, nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer.

Presiding at the register was Kelly Mason. Lee Ann Lee distributed programs.

Special helpers were Judy Britt, Carolyn Strickland, Debbie Jernigan, Sherron Mason, Vicky Polonco and Dana and Henry Baker.

A program of wedding music was provided by Andy Mitchell.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.

After their wedding trip to New Orleans, La., and the gulf of Mississippi, the couple will reside in Dudley.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Feb. 26 at Emmaus Church hosted by Carolyn Strickland; a bridal shower March 21 hosted by co-workers of the bride; and a bachelorette/lingerie shower March 26 at Texas Steakhouse hosted by Amy Smith and Megan Smith.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wilber's.
