Jamie Lynn Andrews and Drew Donnovan Douglas of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 5 at 5 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with Dexter Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of William and Carole Andrews of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Ed Shoemaker and the late Helen Shoemaker of Sun City, Ariz., Joyce Bird and the late Alec Baggott of Leiston, England, and the late Dick Bird.

The bride graduated from Rosewood High School in 2007 and Wayne Community College in 2009. She attends East Carolina University for a bachelor’s degree in English.

The groom is the son of David and Donna Douglas of Goldsboro and the grandson of Charla Bendele of Spokane, Wash., the late Clifford Douglas of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Bob and Loah Nelson of Rochester, Minn., Len Bendele, Nelda Douglas, Wilma Thurlow and the late Harry “Hap” Thurlow.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2007 and attended Wayne Community College. He is serving in the United States Air Force.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory dress with embellished flowers and crystals with a champagne-colored sash.

Her headpiece was a veil embellished with crystals and a tiara of crystals and pearls.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, pink roses with diamonds and stephanotis.

Natalie Strnad was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kellie Hess, Tracy Ward and Mary Dodson.

Rodger Lecuivre was best man.

Groomsmen were David Dodson, Jason Ham and Tyler Ham.

Ushers were Mark Hess and Jeremy Ward.

Kimberly and Katrina Andrews were flower girls. Christopher Andrews was ringbearer.

Anneka Watson and Simone Burt directed the wedding.

Deborah Strnad was a special helper.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kasi Smith, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club.

After their wedding cruise to Florida and the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Minot, N.D.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at the home of the groom’s mother hosted by his mother; a bridesmaids luncheon at Sumo by the bride, where she chose to present gifts to her attendants; and a lingerie shower hosted by the bride’s mother and maid of honor.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Horse Barn in Rosewood.
