Mary Harris Lewis of LaGrange and Donald Wayne Williams Sr. of Seven Springs exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 19 at 3 p.m. at Community Baptist Church in LaGrange, with Jeremy Varner officiating.

The bride is a retired administrative assistant at E. B. Frink Middle School in LaGrange, and has worked as a real estate broker in Wayne and Lenoir counties.

The groom is a retired farmer, and owns Williams Rentals in Seven Springs.

The bride was escorted by her son, Keith Lee, and given in marriage by her children, Robin Bryant and Keith Lee.

She wore a full-length blue dress with a portrait neckline featuring a jeweled finger-tipped jacket. She wore a tear-drop diamond necklace given to her by the groom.

The bride carried a bouquet of white Eskimo roses interspersed with red holly berries hand-tied with ivory ribbon, crested with pearls.

Susan Lee was her mother-in-law’s matron of honor.

Josh Williams was his grandfather’s best man.

Ushers were Mark Gentry and Holton Harrison.

Carol Jean Kearney directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Donna Ward.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mary Margaret Harrison, pianist, and Lynn Sanders, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church Family Life Center. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Carr Foss of LaGrange were greeters.

After their wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Seven Springs and LaGrange.

Events held before the wedding included a Christmas ornament Party Dec. 17 at the home of Jimmie and Linda Foss in LaGrange hosted by the Fosses; a dinner party Nov. 12 at the home of the couple in LaGrange hosted by Carol Jean Kearney and Beverly Brothers; and a dinner Nov. 9 at Ola Mae’s restaurant in Seven Springs hosted by neighbors and friends of the groom.

The couple hosted a rehearsal dinner Dec. 8 at Community Baptist Church Family Life Center.
