Charlotte Marie Fields of Goldsboro and Vince Julian Watson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre, with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert Cary Fields and the late Janet King Fields of Clinton and the granddaughter of the late Elvin and Lillie Fields and the late Bass and Elizabeth Honeycutt of Clinton.

She is a graduate of Johnston Community College with an associate degree in radiological technology, Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and Central Michigan University with a master’s degree in healthcare administration. She is employed as an RIS/PACS manager in the radiology department at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of James Oliver and Esther Wade Watson of LaGrange and the grandson of the late William of and Nannie Watson of Durham and the late Jack and Ruby Wade of LaGrange.

He is a graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in arts and Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational development, and he has an SPHR certification. He is employed as manager of compensation at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her father and family.

She wore an ivory ballgown dress with a strapless handbeaded embroidered bodice and the skirt hem. The gown had a dropped waist silhouette and draped pick-up skirt with a cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil attached to a rhinestone tiara.

The bride carried a semi-cascading bouquet of white lilies, white freesia, white snapdragons, white veronica, white mini callas, red hypericum and green mini hydrangeas, seeded eucalyptus and feathers wrapped in her mother’s handkerchief.

Susan Odum was maid of honor.

Arlynn Hines was best man.

Ushers were Jeff King and Kerry King, brothers of the bride; Lonnie Dean, friend of the groom; and Chad King, nephew of the bride.

Junior bridesmaids were Brittney King, Beth King and Sky Powell, nieces of the bride, and Alexis and Alicia Dean, goddaughters of the groom.

Paulette Scarboro directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Michael Mozingo and Wendy Cabral, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the theater lobby.

After their wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a couple’s shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arlynn Hines of LaGrange hosted by the Hineses; a dinner party at The Mad Boar in Wallace hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Doug Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Pope and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pope of Clinton; a floating neighborhood shower at the home of Linda Uzzell of Goldsboro; a miscellaneous shower hosted by the bride’s co-workers in the radiology department; a bachelorette weekend in Raleigh hosted by friends of the bride; an oyster roast at the home of Arlynn Hines of LaGrange; a bridal shower and tea at Grove Park Baptist Church in Clinton hosted by Lenettie Qualls, Jean Horner, Linda Sykes and Paulette Mintz; and a party hosted by co-workers of the groom at University Health Systems.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Murphy’s Place.
