Kathryn Jane Westfall of Dudley and Jeremy Lane Green of Tallahassee, Fla., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Kirk Oldham officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy J. Westfall of Dudley and Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Westfall of Sugarland, Texas, and the granddaughter of Alice Westfall and the late Leo Westfall of Mason City, Iowa, and Doris J. Humphreys and the late Harold W. Humphreys of Dudley.

She is a 2010 park scholar graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, and attends Harvard University, where she is pursuing a doctorate in immunology.

The groom is the son of Lane and Susan Green of Tallahassee, Fla., and the grandson of the late David and Margaret Green of Tallahassee and the late Fred and Estella Crane of Tampa, Fla.

He is a 2009 graduate of North Carolina State University with a doctorate in paleontology. He is employed as an assistant professor of geology at Kent State University.

The bride was escorted by her mother and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and beaded spaghetti straps. The bodice was decorated with rhinestones, crystals and seed pearls. A matching band decorated the bottom of the A-line skirt. It had a V-back and a semi-cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a crown of rhinestones and Swarovski crystals in a floral detailed design with cathedral-length illusion tulle. Scattered flowers created with crystals and rhinestones decorated the length of the veil.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of green fuji spiders, dark blue delphinium, hot pink Gerberas, vogue roses, yellow freesia and white Queen Anne’s lace with mixed greenery and dracaena.

Jordan Russell was her friend’s matron of honor, while Emily Wayne, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Laura Peedin, Melissa Farmer and Kailey Rouse, cousins of the bride; Kelly Holmes, sister of the groom; and Stephanie Morris, friend of the bride.

Lane Green was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Richard Holmes, brother-in-law of the groom; Jakub Holmes, nephew of the groom; and Daniel Wright, Justin Smith, Timothy Meadows and Taylor Ashley, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Tucker Westfall; brother of the bride, Rudolph Peedin, uncle of the bride; and Wesley Peedin, Aaron Peedin and Brett Farmer, cousins of the bride.

Honorary bridesmaids were Chloe Westfall, Emily Westfall, Quyn Westfall and Julia Westfall, sisters of the bride.

Sarah Peedin, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Michael Peedin, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

Vickie S. Robinson, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Greeters were LeeAnna Young and Jennifer Smith, friends of the couple.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melissa Coutts, pianist, and Betsy Roberson, friend of the bride, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family hosted a dinner and dance reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Lorenda Overman, friend of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Debbie and Rudy Peedin, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Joy and John Green, aunt and uncle of the groom, greeted guests.

The couple took a wedding trip to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower Jan. 9 at Highest Praise Tabernacle hosted by Melissa Farmer and Laura Peedin, cousins of the bride and Debbie Peedin, aunt of the bride; a Pampered Chef shower March 28 hosted by Jordan Russell, Emily Wayne and LeeAnna Young, friends of the bride; an engagement party April 3 at Tall Timbers Research Station and Land Conservancy in Tallahassee hosted by June and Ken Stivers, Joan and Jimbob Maddox, Jerry and Pat Patterson, friends of the groom, and John and Joy Green, aunt and uncle of the groom; a bachelorette weekend April 24 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Jordan Russell and Emily Wayne, friends of the bride; a church-wide bridal shower June 13 at Providence United Methodist Church hosted by Fellowship Sunday school class; a bachelor’s bonfire/party July 24 in Tallahassee hosted by the groom’s father; a dinner party Aug. 5 at Logan’s Steakhouse hosted by Michael and Joanne Williams, friends of the bride; a bridesmaids’ brunch Aug. 7 at the home of Lorenda and Harrell Overman hosted by Beth Overman, Betsy Roberson and Lorenda Overman, friends of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Lane Tree Golf Club.
