Snyder-Maxwell
Anna Morgan Maxwell of Goldsboro and Mark Brenton Snyder exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 26 at 4 p.m. at New Covenant Fellowship, with pastor Ronnie V. Hobgood officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry Maxwell of Goldsboro and Flonnie Buck of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of David Buck and the granddaughter of the late David and Joyce Maxwell of Wade and Flonnie and Carolyn Parker of Nashville.
She is a 2006 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High school and a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Russian and east European studies and minors in history and Slavic culture. She is employed as administrative assistant to faculty at the department of computer science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Debbie Snyder of Goldsboro and the grandson of Grace Kersten of Goldsboro, the late James Kersten of Little Rock, N.Y., and Mona Green and the late Mark Green of Mishawaka, Ind.
He is a 2006 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with bachelor degrees in psychology and religious studies. He is employed as an IT analyst at Duke University.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a wore a tea length A-line gown covered in lace. Clear beads added detail and a white satin sash was worn.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and cream roses wrapped in her great-grandmother’s handkerchief.
Bridesmaids were Sara Parker Maxwell, sister of the bride, and Erin Etheridge and Ashley Kemp, friends of the bride.
Groomsmen were Kristen Thompson, sister of the groom; Scott Thompson, brother-in-law of the groom; and Joshua Hobgood, friend of the
couple.
Ushers were Trey Braswell and Rob Bittner, cousins of the bride.
Maria Bittner, cousin of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Jennifer Boone, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Joey Tippett, cousin of the bride, DJ, and Jonathan Suter.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner reception at Goldsboro Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Long, friends of the couple,
greeted guests.
After their wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple will reside in Durham.
Events held before the wedding included a shower/dinner party May 7 at Spanky’s Restaurant in Chapel Hill hosted by Erin Etheridge; a bridal shower June 6 at the home of Flonnie Buck hosted by the aunts of the bride; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 18 at Quince Southern Bistro in Wilson hosted by the bride and her mother.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 25 at the Steak Barn.
