CHAPEL HILL — Mollee Branden Pappas of St. Paul, Minn., and Christopher Chad Holloman exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Hannah McManus officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Edward Raymond and Marilyn Patricia Pappas of St. Paul and the granddaughter of the late James George and Adeline Amelia Pappas of St. Paul and the late Felicien and Mary Van Den Branden of Lighthouse Point, Fla.

She is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative literature with highest honors.

The groom is the son of Brian Keith and Kimberly Holloman Bunch of Goldsboro and Scott and Sherry Whaley of Ashland, Ky., and the grandson of Kenneth Ray and Brenda Parrish Holloman of Goldsboro, Edward Kendall and Mary Alice Whaley of Clayton and the late William “Bill” Bunch and Jean Bunch of Mount Olive.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2006 with a degree in psychology.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an A-line gown of Venetian lace and tulle with a sweetheart neckline enhanced with a Carolina blue ruched waist band.

Her headpiece was a cathedral-length veil, like her train, passed down from her mother.

The bride carried a bouquet of white daisies and white roses.

Melody Brennan and Alisa Salewski were their sister’s matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allie Salewski, Lindsay Anderson, Megan Palmeri and Emily Portner.

Kenneth Holloman, grandfather of the groom, and Keith Bunch, stepfather of the groom, were best men.

Groomsmen were Kevin Holloman, Brandon Norris, Brian Royster and Cole Salewski.

Ushers were Joel Rose, Samuel Thornton, Christopher Keever and John Dixon.

Sydney Brennan and Kylie Bunch were junior bridesmaids.

Madison Bunch was flower girl. Sam Brennan was ringbearer.

Sarah and Abbey Whaley, sisters of the groom, distributed the programs.

Charles and Debbie Whaley, uncle and aunt of the groom, greeted guests.

A program of wedding music was provided by Loren Miller, pianist, and Daniel Steinart, organist.

Following the ceremony, a celebration was held at the Chapel Hill Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Maui, Oahu and Hawaii, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill.

Events held before the wedding included a a bridal shower at Providence Methodist Church hosted by the groom’s family and friends; a bridal shower in Minnesota hosted by Melody Brennan, Sydney Brennan, Alisa Salewski, Allie Salewski and Megan Palmeri; a couple’s shower in Minnesota hosted by the Brekkes and the Crnkovichs, family friends of the bride; a couple’s luau shower in Goldsboro hosted by the groom’s extended Bunch family; a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 22 at Top of the Hill restaurant in Chapel Hill while the groom, family and friends played a round of golf at the University of North Carolina Finley Golf Course.

A barbecue rehearsal dinner was held May 21 at Chapel Hill Country Club.
