GREENVILLE, — Chelsea Dawn Anderson and Brian Christopher Duffy of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, with Father Michael Butler officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Michael Keith and Teresa Dawn Anderson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Kenneth A. and Betty Price Anderson of Mount Olive and Aaron Harris and Phyllis Pilkington Evans of Goldsboro.

She is a 2005 honors graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2009 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle grades education. She is employed as a middle school teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of William Edward and Kathleen Peborde Duffy III of Harrisburg and the grandson of the late William Edward and Muriel Duffy II of Yonkers, N.Y., and Eileen Peborde of Harrisburg.

He is a 2003 graduate of Central Cabarras High School and a 2009 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He is employed as a physical therapy technician at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless fitted gown with a semi-cathedral train. The bodice was embellished with crystal beading with satin buttons down the back.

Her headpiece was a double-tiered veil trimmed with pearls that her mother passed down to her.

The bride carried a silk hand-tied bouquet of purple day lilies accented with white forget-me-nots with pearl centers.

Shelle Anderson was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Heather Scott of Washington and Jessica Jennings of Greenville, friends of the bride.

Robert Wade of Harrisburg was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were William Edward Duffy IV and Matthew Duffy of Harrisburg, brothers of the groom.

Zak Besser of Goldsboro was the usher.

Anna Frances Compton of Goldsboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Gage Evans of Albertson.

The Rev. Edwin Jewell and William Duffy were Scripture readers.

A program of wedding music was provided by Karen Rainey, pianist, and Alden Pridgen and Tricia Carter, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a lunch and dance reception at Rock Springs Jockey Club in Greenville.

After their wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., and a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower held April 10 was hosted by the bride’s mother, Shelle Anderson, sister of the bride, Renee Barnes, aunt of the bride, and Betty Anderson, grandmother of the bride; a miscellaneous shower April 24 at the home of Paul and Ann Compton, hosted by Ann, Marsha, Sarah and Anna Frances Compton, Teresa Williford and Allison Pridgen, friends of the bride; a bridal shower May 1 in Harrisburg hosted by the groom’s parents; and a miscellaneous shower May 20 hosted by the seventh-grade teachers at Norwayne Middle School.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at O’Charley’s Restaurant in Greenville.
