ATLANTIC BEACH — Heather Frances Campbell of Winterville and Christopher Bryan Waddell of Winterville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 1 at 4:30 p.m. at Coral Bay Club, with the Rev. Randy Fields officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danny Ray and Linda Ruth Campbell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Colie and Frances Campbell, Ruth Parrish and the late Herbert Parrish of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She is employed as a teacher with Greene County Schools.

The groom is the son of Curtis Benton Waddell of Cape Carteret and Sherry Gilliam Waddell of Princeton and the grandson of the late Aaron and Hazel Waddell of Goldsboro and Clayborne Gilliam and the late Sarah Ann Gilliam of Louisburg.

He graduated from Charles B. Aycock, Pitt Community College and East Carolina University with an associate degree in architectural technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management. He is employed as a construction manager with University Health Systems.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless two-piece dress. The top was a fully-boned corset bodice with beading on the upper bustline and a lace-up back. The skirt was beaded with a scalloped bottom and trailed at the back.

The bride carried calla lilies.

Jenny Campbell, sister of the bride and Brittany Campbell, niece of bride, were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Alyssa Gambrell, Lauren Rothwell, Christy Hill, Ashley Overman and Christie Runyon, friends of the bride, and Dana Frish, sister of the groom.

Curtis Waddell was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Joey Edwards, Jason Bridgers, Willis Robinson, Gary Lancaster and Anthony Pittman, friends of the groom; Dave Frish, brother-in-law of the groom; and Brad Johnson, nephew of the bride.

Breana Kearney, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Gabriel Frish, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Sarah McLawhorn directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Lindsey Waters and Ashley Johnson. Trey Waters and Taylor Robertson distributed programs.

Angie Waters was the reader.

Sparkler attendants were Aria and Siri Qualley.

A program of wedding music was provided by Stephen Reaves, vocalist, and Kevin Chappell, guitarist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Coral Bay Club.

After their wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Winterville.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party in Winterville hosted by the couple’s parents, Alyssa Gambrell and Joey Edwards; a his and her shower in Winterville hosted by Alyssa Gambrell and friends; a couple’s shower in Goldsboro hosted by Jackie and Sandra Waddell; a couple’s shower in Goldsboro hosted by Linda and Dan Campbell, Sherry Waddell, Jenny and Brittany Campbell and Ruth Parrish; a bridal shower in Snow Hill hosted by co-workers; and a lingerie shower in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by friends of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a luau-style rehearsal at Goose Creek.
