Allison Lyn Kuhnau of Raleigh and Christopher Lee Kniedler of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 6 at 4 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with pastor Bill Rose officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rodney Kuhnau of Goldsboro and Ruth Kuhnau of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Richard and Charlotte Kuhnau and the late Dale Weis of Appleton, Minn., and Naomi Weis of Hallsville, Texas.

She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High school in 2003 and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher for Wake County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Mark and Linda Kniedler of McIntosh, Fla., and the late Paulette Kniedler of Orange Lake, Fla., and the grandson of Marcel and Jeanie Kniedler and the late Evelyn Kniedler of Merritt Island, Fla., and the late Clyde “Pop” Johnson and Lola Mae Johnson of Orange Lake.

He graduated from North Marion High School in Florida in 2001 and the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in 2006. He is employed as a sales engineer at General Electric.

The bride was escorted by her father and brother, Seth Kuhnau, and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory satin halter A-line gown with lace appliqués with a chapel train with beaded lace appliqué.

Bethany Kuhnau was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amy Thompson of Goldsboro and Anne Elisabeth Stengl of Raleigh, friends of the bride, and Stephanie Weis of Longview, Texas, aunt of the bride.

Kevin Kniedler was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Tim Griffith of Sanford, Fla., and Tim Gray of Apopka, Fla., friends of the groom, and Seth Kuhnau of Goldsboro, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Adam Weis, cousin of the bride, and Seth Kuhnau.

Kadence Weis was flower girl. David Kniedler was ringbearer.

Sheila Ewers directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Anna Weis.

A program of wedding music was provided by Charity Daniel, pianist, and Joshua Crawford and Phyllis Detherage, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

After their wedding trip to the western Caribbean, the will couple reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a lawn and garden shower hosted by Bobby and Kelly Houser of Raleigh; a bridal shower in Goldsboro hosted by Ruth Kuhnau and Amy Thompson; a wedding shower in Mcintosh, Fla., hosted by McIntosh United Methodist Church; and a bridal shower in Raleigh hosted by the Leesville Elementary fifth grade team.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
