CHARLESTON, S.C. — Natalie Adams Paul of Raleigh and Todd Robert Whitney of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Planters Inn, with Dave R. Rister officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Claude Cleveland Paul III and Evelyn Paul of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Claude Cleveland Paul Jr., Margie A. Paul and the late Martin B. Richter and Wilma H. Southerland of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Meredith College. She is employed as a sales rep at Allscripts.

The groom is the son of Robert and Thirza Whitney of Raleigh and the grandson of Robert Whitney, the late Marilyn Whitney and Charles and Thirza Ridgley.

He graduated from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Ore. He is employed as executive chef at J. Betski’s Restaurant.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a champagne-colored gown of dupioni silk with a fitted ruched bodice and a sweetheart neckline with a modified A-line skirt with a chapel-length train accented with covered buttons.

The bride carried a bouquet of purple calla lilies tied in silk ribbon.

Stephanie Ross was matron of honor.

Robert Whitney was the best man.

Suzanne Harris directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Chris Lee, steel drums.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception held at the Planters Inn.

The couple will take wedding trip to Costa Rica in January. They will reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower hosted by Debbie Richter and Jane Richter, aunts of the bride; a girls day out hosted by Allison Harding and Gena Walker, friends of the bride; a girls beach weekend in Morehead City; and a wedding day brunch hosted by Sue Moyer.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal Party at Tristan’s Restaurant in Charleston.
