Kezirian-Jernigan
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — S. Elizabeth Jernigan of Washington D.C. and Stephen Mark Kezirian of Washington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 6 at 5 p.m. at Bacara Resort and Spa, with the honorable Stephen Larson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Sam A. Jernigan III and Eleanore Chapman Jernigan of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Sam A. Jernigan Jr. and Marie Lawson Jernigan of Goldsboro, the late Harold Joseph Chapman of Newport Beach, Calif., and Cornelia Moffit Farrell of Sanford.
She graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1995 and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies.
The groom is the son of Marilyn Tevriz Kezirian and the late Aram Peter Kezirian of Los Angeles, Calif., and the grandson of the late Peter and Julia Kalunian Kezirian of Fresno, Calif., and the late Mihran M. Tevriz and Elizabeth Tahajian Tevriz of Los Angeles.
He graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in 1991, Harvard University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and Harvard Business School in 2004 with an MBA.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless gown of ivory silk faille and a chapel-length veil with ivory satin trim.
The bride carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and ivory roses.
Conoley Jernigan Coonley was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Angel French, Ingrid French, Kate Earls and Valerie Edwards, friends of the bride.
Douglas Kezirian was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were the groom’s older brothers: Peter Kezirian, Michael Kezirian and Eric Kezirian, brothers of the groom, Sam Jernigan IV and Andrew Jernigan, brothers of the bride.
Campbell Coonley, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Coleman Coonley, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Bob Gail Events directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Bacara Resort Ballroom and Terrace.
After their wedding trip to Italy and France, the couple will reside in Washington.
A rehearsal dinner and party was held June 5 at El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif.
