MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Valerie Krystle Hinson and Gary Brandon Holland exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 30 at 6 p.m. at Sea Watch Resort, with the Rev. Bill Braswell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas McCoy and Sharlene Gurley Register of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Ellie Mae Register of Wilmington, Virginia Dare Chace of Killeen, Texas, Vayria Fields Whitley of Snow Hill and the late William Edmund Gurley.

She is a 2004 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2009 graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in general psychology. She is employed as a residential counselor at Methodist Home for Children.

The groom is the son of Gary Butch and Brenda Willoughby Holland of Princeton and the grandson of Mildred Coffey Holland and the late Cecil Alonza Holland of Goldsboro and the late John Ashley “Jack” and Alice Parrish Willoughby of Kenly.

He is a 2001 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2003 graduate of Wilson Technical Community College with an Associate of Science degree in fire protection technology. He attends Fayetteville State University for a Bachelor of Science degree in fire science with a concentration in management. He is employed as a firefighter with the city of Goldsboro.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white strapless satin A-line with a cuff neckline. It featured a pleated pool colored satin sash at the waist with a sweep train.

Amber Hinson was maid of honor.

Gary Butch Holland was best man.

Allison Hinson was flower girl. Will Hinson was ringbearer.

Mallory Overby was the miniature bride. Joshua Hinson was the miniature groom.

Alex Hinson was the candlelighter.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at the Sea Watch Resort.

After their wedding trip to Miami, Fla., the couple will reside in Princeton.
