KERNERSVILLE — Kristen Darlene Cobb of Winston-Salem and Ryan Crayton Honeycutt of Winston-Salem exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, with Ray Nance Howell IV officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Claudette Cobb of Pikeville and Donald and Darlene Bumgarner of Wilson and the granddaughter of the late Morrison Brooks and Mildred Langley Cobb of Pikeville and the late George Thomas and Nola Mae Williamson of Fremont and the stepgranddaughter of Doris Lewis and the late George Lewis of Goldsboro and Elizabeth Bumgarner and the late L.H. Bumgarner of Wilson.

She graduated from Fike High School and East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in business administration. She is employed as a compensation consultant at Branch Banking and Trust Company in Winston-Salem.

The groom is the son of LeRoy III and Rebecca Vail Honeycutt of Kernersville and the grandson of Eva Walker Honeycutt and the late LeRoy Honeycutt Jr. of Pfafftown and the late Jesse Crayton and Ruth Gray Vail of Jacksonville.

He graduated from Person High School and Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is employed as an international transportation analyst at Lowe’s Co. in Wilkesboro.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white gown of luxe taffeta. A shirred strapless bodice was encrusted with silver hand beading and appliqués. A low waist featured a shirred design that led to an A-line skirt and swept into a chapel-length train adorned with embroidery and crystals.

Her headpiece was a single-layered veil of illusion edged with scalloped lace.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of green hydrangea, white calla lilies and white wax flowers with stems wrapped in silver and white sheer silk ribbon.

Brandy Underhill of Pikeville was her stepsister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Morgan Bedford of Sims, Angela Miller of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Angela Perry of Dallas, Ga.

LeRoy Honeycutt III was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Brandon Cobb of Sims, brother of the bride; Lee Honeycutt of Washington D.C., brother of the groom; and Andy Shirlen of Raleigh.

Anna Grace and Caroline Yurkutat of Winston-Salem were flower girls. Hunter Bailey of Pikeville, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Nancy Swaim of Kernersville directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Leigh Johnson of Pikeville. Lindsey Whaley of Goldsboro distributed programs.

Michael Westmoreland of Winston-Salem was Scripture reader.

A program of wedding music was provided by Bradley Collier of Greenville, stepbrother of the bride, organist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Hawthorne Inn in Winston-Salem.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Winston-Salem.

Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower and bachelorette party Aug. 2 in Raleigh hosted by Brandy Underhill, Jennifer Parks and Michelle Odom; a wedding shower July 25 hosted by co-workers of the bride; a bridal shower July 19 in Wilson hosted by family and friends; a bridal shower July 12 in Pikeville hosted by Shelia Cobb, aunt of the bride; and a bridal party luncheon and nail party Aug. 22 in Winston-Salem hosted by the aunt of the groom.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Cities Restaurant in Winston-Salem.
