PINE LEVEL — April Michelle Keene of Princeton and Matthew Todd Massey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 28 at 3 p.m. at Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church, with Craig Langdon officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gary Michael Keene of Kenly and Dee Vee Seymour Phillips of Princeton and the granddaughter of Roy Maxton and Lois Carter Keene of Dunn, Brigitta E. Seymour and the late William “Bill” Ellis Seymour and the late Buster Thompson of Goldsboro, the late Dorothy Thompson Gansheimer of Seven Springs and Mary Thompson of Dudley.

She graduated from Princeton High School and attends Wayne Community College for a dental assisting degree.

The groom is the son of Michael Massey and Debbie Massey of Smithfield and the grandson of James Massey, Clarissa Massey, Sue Tyner and the late Betty Massey of Smithfield.

He graduated from Princeton High School. He is serving with the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white strapless organza gown with a heart-shaped bodice with an embroidered pattern of beading and Swarovski crystals that followed to the back and flowed down the train. The skirt and sides were caught up with embroidery and beading.

Her headpiece was a one-tiered veil attached to a tiara with crystal accents.

Taylor Danielle Seymour was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Katie Sasser, Erica Hedman, Erica Massey and Alyson Boggess.

Michael Todd Massey was best man.

Groomsmen were Keith Gasco, Jason Boggess, Dennis Phillips and Greg Baker

Jessica Phillips was the junior bridesmaid. Tyler Beasley was the junior groomsman.

Sarah Massey was flower girl. Ryan Woodard was ringbearer.

Eva Holloman directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Valena Callon. Christan Glowner distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Nault, pianist and organist, and Chris Langdon and Tyler Schultze, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Paula and Annie Hirschkorn served the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Princeton.

Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower June 22 at the home of the bride hosted by Erica Massey and a bridal shower at Sardis Baptist Church hosted by the couple’s parents.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Sardis Baptist Church.
