Hill - Reaves
CAROLINA BEACH — Brittney Lynn Reaves and Derek Glenn Hill of Wilmington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 6 at 12:45 p.m. at Fort Fisher, with Marty Gurganous officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bert Reaves and Gina Reaves of Southport and the granddaughter of George and Hilda Reaves and Jerry and Betty Saunders of Wilmington.
The groom is the son of Jerry Hill of Rocky Point and Tammy Gardner of Pikeville, the stepson of Pepper Hill and the grandson of Envid and Helen Hill of Snow Hill and Hoss and Dorothy Gardner of Pikeville.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Candace Reaves was her sister’s maid of honor.
Jerry Hill was his son’s best man.
A program of wedding music was provided by Lucas Gurby, violinist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Boiling Springs Community Building.
After a wedding trip to the mountains and Mexico, the couple reside in Castle Hayne.
Events held before the wedding included a party hosted by the couple’s mothers.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Texas Road House.
