PINE KNOLL SHORES — Crystal Lynn Wiley of Goldsboro and Patrick Bryan Capps exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the North Carolina Aquarium, with Michael Hamm officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Rebecca Wiley of Shalimar, Fla., and William and Debbie Effler of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Iris Wiley of Shalimar, the late Douglas Wiley of West Palm Beach, Fla., James and Norma Hall of Charleston, W.Va., the late Carter Hudson of Fayetteville and Merle Effler and the late Werner Effler of Goldsboro.

She is a 2003 honor graduate of Southern Wayne High School and attends Wayne Community College for an associate degree. She is employed as a claims technician at Sentry Insurance.

The groom is the son of Keith and Vonnie Capps of Goldsboro and the grandson of Dollie Capps, the late Guy Capps, Jean Dize and the late Harry Dize of Goldsboro.

He is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School, a 2006 graduate Wayne Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Program and an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He is employed as a police officer at Goldsboro Police Department.

The bride was escorted by her fathers and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin halter neckline with crystal beading and sequins, a lace-up bodice back, a chapel train and a red sash and streamers.

Her headpiece was a mid-length veil with red satin trim.

The bride carried a bouquet of pink stargazer lilies with red tulips.

Stephanie Abrams-Huffman was her friend’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Sandra Pender and Amanda Abrams of Goldsboro and Ruby Quintanilla of Faison, friends of the bride.

Keith Capps was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Joseph Capps of Goldsboro, brother of the groom, and Eddie Campbell and Loren Deitz of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.

Leilani Wiley of Goldsboro, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Angela Abrams of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Elizabeth White of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.

Becky Davis, special events coordinator at the North Carolina Aquarium was a special helper.

A program of wedding music was provided by Angela Abrams of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the North Carolina Aquarium.

After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple reside in Rosewood.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Aug. 12 at the home of the bride hosted by the bride’s mother.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 19 at Sanitary Fishmarket Restaurant in Morehead City.
