Carrie Elizabeth McCall of Goldsboro and Lance Clint Sutton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at the home of Karen McCall, with the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Edmond McCall of Williamsburg, Pa., and Karen Jean McCall of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Eugene and Thelma McCall and Jack and Jean Youngblood.

She graduated from Wayne Christian School in 2005 and attends East Carolina University for a degree in special education. She is employed at Texas Steakhouse and as an instructional assistant at Rosewood Elementary School.

The groom is the son of Linwood Earl of and Lea Charmane Sutton of Four Oaks and the grandson of Edward and Edna Sutton of Newton Grove and Joyce Lewis and the late William “Bill” Lewis.

He graduated from Rosewood High School in 2004. He is employed as a service technician at Them Guys Tire and Auto.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless gown of French taffeta hand-embroidered with seed pearls and crystals.

Her headpiece was a jeweled beaded tiara.

The bride carried a bouquet of hand-tied white and purple roses, miniature roses and hydrangeas.

Anna Evans was her sister’s matron of honor, while Amy Sutton, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer McCall and Melissa Sheldon.

Brad Petterson was best man.

Groomsmen were Paul Evans, Josh McCall, Matthew McCall and Lewis Braswell.

Mackenzie Darden was flower girl. Derrick Sharp was ringbearer.

Presiding at the register was Jenaye Williams. Sydney, Micheal and Kayla Muller distributed programs.

Special helpers were Rhonda Dobbins, Gloria Thompson and Barbara Nelson.

A program of wedding music was provided by Abby Millard, pianist, and Lori Herring, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, an outside reception was held. Sylvia Wood, Jackie Longwell, Maha Poindexter, Marlene Coyler, Ashley Muller and Penny Dobbins were servers.

The couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a floating shower Aug. 5 at Freedom Baptist Church hosted by Anna Evans, sister of the bride, and the bride’s mother and a shower Aug. 4 at Texas Steakhouse hosted by Amy Sutton and friends.

A pig picking rehearsal dinner was held at Bentonville Community Center.
