ATLANTIC BEACH — Heather Nichole Fulghum of Goldsboro and Christopher Sean King exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Macon State Park, with Bob Caffin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Paul Fulghum Jr. of Dudley and Georgia Grant Fulghum of Seven Springs and the granddaughter of the late James Paul and Beautrice Fulghum of Goldsboro and the late William and Mary Grant of Snow Hill.

She is a 2001 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2006 graduate of Wayne Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science for nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s intensive care unit.

The groom is the son of Donnie LaRue and Elizabeth Perry King of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Theola King and Elizabeth Rivenbark of Goldsboro and the late Vance Perry of Wilmington.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1998. He is employed as a crew foreman at Seegar’s Fence Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a chiffon gown with a strapless bodice embellished with Swarovski crystals, bugle beads and seed beads and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip veil with pearls and crystals attached to a pearl, crystal and rhinestone tiara.

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of coral roses and cymbidium orchids.

Melissa Price, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, while Jessica Shoneck, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kimberly Gray, cousin of the bride, and Christina Shofner and Crystal Carter, friends of the bride.

Donnie King was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Michael King, brother of the groom; Jamie Price, brother-in-law of the groom; and Lance Kornegay and Jason Farris, friends of the groom.

Laney Price and Madison King, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Layton Price and Jaxson King, nephews of the groom, were ringbearers.

Special helpers were Jessica Kornegay, Jaime King and Cathy Stelly.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the Crab’s Claw in Atlantic Beach.

After a wedding trip to Palm Beach, Aruba, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelor weekend Aug. 10 through 12 in Wilmington hosted by Jason Farris and Lance Kornegay, friends of the groom; a lingerie shower/bachelorette party Aug. 11 at the Steak Barn hosted by Crystal Carter and Christina Shofner, friends of the bride; a miscellaneous shower Aug. 4 hosted by Jassica Shoneck, Cathy Stelly, Kathy Gray and Georgia Fulghum; a miscellaneous shower July 30 hosted by co-workers of the bride; and a luau reception at the home of Jamie and Melissa Price hosted by the groom’s family and aunt and uncle.
