Parker - Rose
Moyock — Molly Joan-Ellen Rose and Benjamin William Parker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 16 at 4 p.m. at Moyock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Vic Ramsey officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Rose of Moyock and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Rose Jr. of Moyock and William Privott and the late Margarette Lane Privott of Nags Head.
She is a graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with K-6 certification. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher with Currituck County Schools.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Parker of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parker of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ham of Kings Mountain.
He graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy-turfgrass management. He is employed as assistant superintendent at the Currituck Club in Corolla.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a sleeveless satin beaded ball gown with a cathedral-length train and sweetheart neckline.
Her headpiece was her mother’s chapel-length veil trimmed in Alencon lace with a fingertip veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies and pink roses.
Emily Rose was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Casey Rose Kolar of Moyock, cousin of the bride; and Kristy Corbo of Currituck, Lindsey Harrelson of Moyock, Ashley Flouhouse of Waxhaw, Courtney Chewning of Goldsboro and Lauren Searcy of East Flat Rock, friends of the bride.
David Parker was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Wes Parker of Goldsboro, brother of the groom; Grady Rose of Moyock, brother of the bride; and Greg Hook, Michael Ellis and Matthew Moore of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.
Ramona Humphries and Connie Harrelson directed the ceremony. Presiding at the guest register were Lauren Powers and Lindsey McEvoy.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the soundside home of the bride’s parents. Sarah Edwards greeted guests.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Kill Devil Hills.
Events before the wedding including a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 15 hosted by Sheila Romm and Marion Thorn; a shower May 15th at Griggs Elementary School hosted by her kindergarten team; a kitchen and recipe shower May 11 in Moyock, hosted by friends; a shower April 29 in Moyock hosted by Casey Kolar; and a shower April 14 in Goldsboro hosted by Terri Thompson.
