Mrs. Perry

Emily Elizabeth York of Raleigh and Colin Castellow Perry of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Dr. Homer Edward Morris officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sandford York of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mrs. Percy Lawson Withers of Winston-Salem, the late Mr. Withers and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edgar York of Goldsboro.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a Masters of Accounting degree. She is employed by Deloitte and Touche LLP of Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Freeman Perry Jr. of Colerain and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Terrell Pressley of Charlotte and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Cannady of Powellsville and Mrs. and Mrs. Norman Freeman Perry Sr. of Colerain.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial relations. He is employed by York Properties Inc. of Raleigh.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Catherine Hunter Parrott Burris was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Heather Poole York, sister-in-law of the bride; Laura Perry Monk, sister of the groom; Amy Tackett Campos, Emily Mayer Gammon, Carolyn Elizabeth Sijthoff and Helen Strange Williams.

Norman Freeman Perry Jr. was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Norman Freeman Perry III, John Lindsay Hallett, Andrew Wilson Pressley and Robert Anthony Pressley, brothers of the groom; Charles Allen York, brother of the bride; and Albert Coy Monk IV, brother-in-law of the groom.

Ushers were Gregory Alan Capps, Michael Charles Gruman, John Tyler Highsmith, Robert Walker Hobson, Samuel Clark Jenkins Jr., Michael Hill Lewis, Cameron Arnold McCutcheon, John Holland McTyeire, Stephen Patrick Ratcliffe and Charles Ross Scarantino.

Sarah Forbes Lindner, cousin of the groom, was crucifer. Donald George Lindner II and Edward Heron Lindner, cousins of the groom, were acolytes.

Presiding at the register was Lauren Shirley Lewis. Eden Rellihan Jenkins and Elizabeth Schenk Shuford greeted guests.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Goldsboro Country Club.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
