Holland - Edwards
MAUI, Hawaii — Christal Michele Edwards of Princeton and Justin Tracy Holland of Pikeville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at South Maluaka Beach, with the Rev. Adam Gowe officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mitchell Elesley Edwards Jr. of Roper and Kathi Edwards Braswell of Princeton, the granddaughter of the Rev. Mitchell Elesley and the late Myrtle Roberson Edwards of Creswell, the late Arthur Monroe Woodard of Goldsboro and Lillian Jones Hollowell of Princeton and the great-granddaughter of the late Rev. Clyde Wesley Jones and Mary Brooks Jones.
She is a graduate of Princeton High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Johnston Community College. She is employed as a nuclear medicine technologist at Rex Hospital.
The groom is the son of James Raeford Holland Jr. of Pikeville and Kimberly Taylor Nye of Chocowinity and the grandson of the late James Raeford and Edna Kornegay Holland of Dudley and Joyce Barrow and the late Clifton Earl Taylor of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and Wayne Community College. He is employed as a lineman at Progress Energy.
The bride was escorted by her mother and brother, Les Edwards, and given in marriage by her parents.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Seawatch Restaurant in Makena.
After a wedding trip to Maui, the couple reside in Willow Springs.
Events held before the wedding included a family Hawaiian luau Sept. 9 hosted by Steve and Paula Jones and Stefanie Jones; an Hawaiian luau Aug. 26 in Chocowinity hosted by Kim and Plummer Nye in Chocowinity; a lingerie shower Aug. 18 at the home of Tina Winborne hosted by Tina Winborne and Angie Proctor; and a bridal shower Aug. 13 at the home of Deacon and Faye Jones hosted by Grace Pearce, Paula Jones and Faye Jones.
