OLD FORT — Laci Renee Bowen of Old Fort and Randy Alan Smith exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Wesleyan Church, with Kemul Travis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Valli Noblitt Bowen of Old Fort and Scott Bowen of Marion and the granddaughter of Sammi and Loren Noblitt of Old Fort and Gladys Bowen and Carson Bowen of Marion.

She is a 2006 graduate of McDowell High School of Marion.

The groom is the son of Ray and Wilma Smith of LaGrange and the grandson of Bob and Jane Patton of Goldsboro and Aaron and Annie Smith of LaGrange.

He is employed as a cabinet maker with Hoke Cabinetry.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin strapless gown embellished with seed pearls on the top and scattered on the bottom.

Her fingertip veil with scattered pearls was attached to a silver tiara with pearls.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses with baby’s breath and pearls.

Summer Carson of Old Fort served as her sister’s matron of honor, while Brooke Patton of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amy McKinney of Marion, friend of the bride; Destini Rhodes of Old Fort, cousin of the bride; and Kacie Rousay of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom.

David Patton was his nephew’s best man.

Ushers were Adam Smith of LaGrange, brother of the groom; Joe Rousay of Goldsboro, uncle of the groom; Jesse Bowen of Old Fort, brother of the bride; and Blake Rousay of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom.

Shaunisha Carson, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Allison Patton, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Taven and Christian Carson and James Gilliland, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.

Vikki Patton and Tracy Rhodes, aunts of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Shilah Rose, cousin of the bride, and Angel Streets. Dana Rousay, aunt of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Larabeth Poteat, friend of the bide, vocalist, and Richard Noblitt, uncle of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Crooked Creek Fire Department. Angel Streets, cousin of the bride, and Susan Streets, great-aunt of the bride, were servers.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a household shower Aug. 4 at Mt. Hebron Church fellowship hall hosted by aunts and a household shower June 16 at the home of Debbi Perkins hosted by Dawn Cook, Debbie Haithcock and Ms. Perkins.

The groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner at Mt. Hebron Church.
