Brenna Rowanne Monk and Robert Adam Wolfe exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the Monk home, with Chris Singleton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis Joseph and Trista Shirley Monk of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Doris Monk, the late James Monk and Wilber and Margie Shirley of Goldsboro.

She is a 1997 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in child development and family relations and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is employed as registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of R.K. and Nancy Wolfe of Goldsboro and the grandson of Libby Wolfe and the late Raymond K. Wolfe Sr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Paul Howell and the late Esther Howell of Goldsboro.

He is serving in the Army. He was a former paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg and is currently a recruiter in Goldsboro for the Army in Goldsboro.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of diamond white organza with a strapless sweetheart neckline and cutaway organza overskirt. The overlay was ornamented with floral embroidery embellished with Swarovski crystals, bugle beads, seed beads and sequins. The corset back flowed down the A-line skirt that led into the semi-cathedral train.

Her comb of rhinestones and pearls led into a single-tiered veil of silk illusion with a scalloped edge trimmed with beads and sequins..

Courtney Monk served as her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Crystal Ross and Shannon Tart.

Gerard Tart Jr. was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Tanner Monk, Liam Tart and R.K. Wolfe.

Hanna McKeithan was flower girl. Davis Caudill was ringbearer.

Jo Rouse directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Debbie Lewis.

Train bearer was Kayla Teague

A program of wedding music was provided by Jenny Heim, violinist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception and dance at their home.

After a wedding trip to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Sept. 20 in Goldsboro hosted by Wayne Memorial Hospital 6th floor staff; a miscellaneous luncheon Sept. 2 in Goldsboro hosted by the groom’s family; a housewarming shower Aug. 25 in Goldsboro hosted by the Malpass family; a bridal shower Aug. 13 in Goldsboro hosted by the Dorcas Circle at First Free Will Baptist Church; and a lingerie shower July 22 in Mount Olive hosted by Rayne Caudill, aunt of the bride.

The couple’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Sept. 22 at the home of the bride’s grandparents.
