FREMONT — Teresa Michelle Chakona of Fremont became the bride of Jeffery Allen Nobles of Eureka May 20 at 2 p.m.

The Rev. David Thick officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Aubrey Lee and Joanne Meyer Chakona. She is the granddaughter of Grace Meyer of Winston-Salem and the late Joseph Meyer.

Grandparents of the groom are Willis and Nina Smith of Eureka.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a handmade two-piece satin dress with a long train trimmed with ribbon along the edge .

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with pearls and crystals. She carried cream, yellow and orange roses.

Vicky Brimberry, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Crystal Hinson, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.

Justin Nobles was his father’s best man. Walter Wheeler, friend of the groom, was the usher.

Amber Lane, friend of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Linda Pierce directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Lori Ann Berry. Jonathon Croom distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Alison Syverson, pianist, and Jimmy Martin, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple is residing in Eureka.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School.

She attends Wayne Community College and is studying for her nursing degree.

She is employed as a board-certified technician with CVS Pharmacy.

The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1992.

He is employed as a corrections officer with Wayne Correctional Facility.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

Out-of-town guests were from Holden Beach, Wilson and Winston-Salem.

On April 30, Vicky Brimberry and co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower.

The women’s auxiliary held a miscellaneous shower April 30 at the church fellowship hall.

On March 17, Connie Hough, friend of the bride, held a miscellaneous shower at Western Sizzlin.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the church fellowship hall. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
