Mr. and Mrs. Tripp

Vera Elizabeth Hair and Delmar Scott Tripp of Leesville, La., said their vows June 18 at 5 p.m.

The Rev. David Tripp officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of Shannon and Angie Hair.

The bride is the daughter of John and Debbie Hair of Seven Springs. She is the granddaughter of James Earl and Marie Jones of Albertson and Lall and Doris Hair of Mount Olive.

Phyllis Thrasher of Kinston and Delmar Tripp of Bethlehem, Ga. are parents of the groom. He is the stepson of Marie Tripp and Phillip Thrasher and the grandson of William and Lou Vel Swinson of Kinston and Jerry and Sybil Tripp of Thomaston, Ga.

Given in marriage by her father and escorted by her father and her son, Mason Harper, the bride wore a satin dress with a lace bodice of pearls with an attached formal-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose pearls with a veil. She carried a bouquet of pastel flowers laced with ivy attached to a pink handkerchief given to her by the groom’s grandmother.

Angela Hair, sister-in-law, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Phyllis Hair, sister-in-law, Anita Pierce and Heather Hardison.

Delmar Tripp was his son’s best man. Ushers and groomsmen were Jeremy Tripp, brother of the groom, and Shannon Hair and J.R. Hair, brothers of the bride.

Ashley Byrd was flower girl. Jon Ashley Hair was ring bearer.

Delores Byrd directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Andrea Swinson.

A program of wedding music was provided by Phyllis Swinson and Faith Ann Mooney, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Seven Springs.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Champion Education of Beulaville. She attends James Sprunt Community College for an associate’s degree in child development. She is employed as a child care provider with Pink Hill Day Care.

The groom graduated from high school in Aiken, S.C., in 1999. He is pursuing a criminal justice degree. He is serving in the Army as a maintenance specialist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of Shannon and Angie Hair, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of Shannon and Angie Hair.
