SNOW HILL — LaToya Janelle Mack became the bride of Wayne Edward Sutton of Raleigh June 18 at 2 p.m.

Jean Atkinson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle.

Parents of the bride are Alexander and Marsha W. Mack of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Raymond and Mary Cuyler Williams of Marlow, Ga., Mary Owens of Statesboro and Wayne E. Sutton of Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Willie E. and Gwendolyn L. Sutton of Teachey. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Lois Lamb, Radie Melvin Sutton and the late Bob Will Sutton of Wallace.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline, a scalloped hemline and a chapel-length train covered with a beaded lace netting overlay.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of Swarovski crystals and rhinestones with a cathedral-length veil and a fingertip blusher. She carried pink roses and miniature calla lilies.

Janet Sutton of Teachey, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alexa Mack of Goldsboro, sister of the bride; Valeria Sutton of Wallace, sister of the groom; and Tanika Hill of Greenville and Lamanda Blanks of Newport News, Va.

Willie Sutton was his son’s best man. Ushers were John Spencer of Raleigh, and Eldrick Sutton of Wallace, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Herman Spencer of Raleigh; Eric Sutton of Wallace and Chris Sutton of Virginia, cousins of the groom; Earl Campbell of Snow Hill; and Errick Baldwin of Durham.

Rinada Mitchell was flower girl.

Darlene Brown directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Chris Hagans.

Special helpers were Isaac Robinson, Tracey Evora and Bill Cunningham.

A program of wedding music was provided by McKinley Wooten Jr. of Raleigh, pianist and vocalist; Sanbrina Campbell, vocalist; Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle young adult choir; and Elevation Baptist Church Praise Team.

After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, Va., the couple is residing in Raleigh.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2001 graduate of Peace College with a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She is employed as a reporter with the Wake Weekly of Wake Forest.

The groom graduated from Wallace-Rose Hill High School in 1993 and the School of Communication Arts in 1994. He is employed as a computer network administrator with Image Associates Inc. of Morrisville.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a a reception at Greene County Middle School cafeteria.

On June 11, Ida Fryar held a shower at her home.

The bride’s mother held a lingerie shower May 28 at Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle.

On May 19, co-workers of the bride held a shower at the Free Press of Kinston.

The groom’s family held a shower May 14 at the home of Valeria Sutton, sister of the groom, in Wallace.

The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner at Holy Temple Tabernacle dining hall.
