Teresa Marie Stebelton and Timothy Clifton Cooper of Fayetteville were unity in holy matrimony Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m.

Catherine Smith officiated at the double-ring outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is the daughter of Helen Deloris and James Arthur Stebelton of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Rosemary Riggs of Pennsboro, W. Va., and the great-granddaughter of Naomie Cunningham and the late Harley Cunningham of Pennsboro.

Parents of the groom are Larry Timothy Cooper and Victoria Lynn Cooper. He is the grandson of the late Libby Cooper of Georgia and Ann Sudo of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore her mother’s wedding gown of flowing satin with long lacy sleeves and a lacy bodice. It had a semi-cathedral train trimmed with faux buttons.

For her headpiece, she chose a garland of yellow daisies. She carried a cascading bouquet of pink Gerber daisies, stargazer lilies, white daisies and other flowers in a springtime array.

Kristen M. Morton, sister of the bide, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Ledford, Hilary Angelo and Danielle Kurtz, friends of the bride.

Brett Cooper was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Gurney, Timothy Drum and Travis Kephart, friends of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple is residing in Fayetteville.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a minor in creative writing. She is employed by the Cumberland County Department of Social Service.

The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He is employed by Walgreens as assistant manager.

Following the ceremony, an outside reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride’s parents held a rehearsal dinner March 4 at the Steak Barn.

On Feb. 27, Danielle Kurtz, friend of the bride, held a bridal shower in Fayetteville.
