CHARLOTTE — Gina Marie Herring of Goldsboro became the bride of Walter Harvey White II Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m.

Larry Duncan officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church.

Parents of the bride are Sunee Herring of High Point and Mr. and Mrs. Joey Herring of Deep Run. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Herring of Kinston.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Walter White of Charlotte. He is the grandson of Anne Preslar of Charlotte, the late Gene Preslar, Frances Jackson of Goldsboro and the late George White.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless satin A-line dress with a draped front and a sweep train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with white flowers and diamonds with a knee-length veil with random flower designs. She carried wine and white wilted roses.

Tara Hollifield was matron of honor. Samantha White was maid of honor. Melissa Gentry was the bridesmaid.

Walter White was best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Ravine and Chad Hollifield.

Alexandria Herring was the junior bridesmaid.

Sebastian White was ring bearer.

Marjorie Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Valerie LaCoille.

A program of wedding music was provided by Patrick Pope, organist.

After a wedding trip to Crossville, Tenn., the couple is residing in Charlotte.

The bride is employed as an accounts payable specialist with Muzak.

The groom is self-employed as a trim carpenter.
