Kerrie Lynne Crawford and Michael Brandon Steers pledged their promises Saturday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Charles Renfrow officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Chapel.

Sherry Cooper and Robert Lee of Pikeville and Mr. and Mrs. William Crawford of Selma are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Tom and Sadie Cooper of Kenly and Major and Lynda Ivey of Fremont.

The groom is the son of Mike and Vangie Steers of Woodlake, Calif.

Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless A-line gown with a tulle overlay. A beaded design with sequins and pearls accented the neckline and scalloped train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of rhinestones and a two-tiered veil of tulle adorned with crystals and pearls. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of burgundy roses and white stephanotis accented with pearls in the middle.

Corrie Medlin, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Herndon and Miranda Wooten, friends of the bride.

Joe Michael was his friend’s best man. Cameron Crawford, brother of the bride, was the usher. Groomsmen were Jason Herndon and Kevin Plews, friends of the groom.

Hannah Lee, cousin of the bride, was the junior bride. Jonathan Lee, brother of the bride, was the junior groom.

Audrey steers, daughter of the groom, was flower girl. Garrett Steers, son of the groom, was ring bearer.

Stephanie Crawford, aunt of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Teresa McGreevy, friend of the couple. Tyler Crawford, cousin of the bride, and Justin Steers, son of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Wanita Pierce, pianist and vocalist, and Aaron Harrell, vocalist.

After a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She attends Wayne Community College.

The groom graduated from Foothill High School of California. He is serving in the Air Force, stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB.

Following the ceremony a dance reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Sept. 17 at Madison’s.

On Sept. 17, friends of the groom held a bachelor party.

Friends of the bride held a bachelorette party Sept. 17.

On July 25, Sadie Cooper, Cathy Baggett, Staphanie Crawford, Lynda Ivey and Sheila Jones held a bridal shower at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church fellowship hall.
