Mrs. Boyle

Kelly Denise Keen of Goldsboro and Glen Boyle were married Aug. 7 at 4 p.m.

Dr. Al Herrington officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Antioch Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Buddy and Donna Keen. She is the granddaughter of the late James E. Hill, Ruth Hill and Julia Keen of Goldsboro and the late Lebern Keen.

Parents of the groom are Gordon Boyle of Goldsboro and the late Clare Boyle. He is the grandson of the late Peter and Sarah Taylor of England and the late James and Helen Boyle of Scotland.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with embroidery lace sequins enhanced with silver and blue bugle beads. The bodice had a corset back. Embroidery lace and sequins cascaded down the front and back of the skirt that flowed into a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of Austrian crystals that extended into a two-tiered veil of silk illusion edged with rhinestones. She carried a hand-tied clutch of red roses with a white rose in the center tied together with lily grass and white chiffon ribbon.

Krissy Keen, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Hill, aunt of the bride, and Sarah Boyle, niece of the groom.

Gordon Boyle was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Joshua Boyle, nephew of the groom, and Ed Cianfarra and Arron Smith, friends of the couple.

Judy Pearce directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Abigail Boyle, niece ofthe groom. Caleb Boyle, nephew of the groom, distributed scrolls and white roses.

A program of wedding music was provided by Wanda Becton, vocalist and pianist.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held a Goldsboro Country Club. Carol Gerencser, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.

On Aug. 6, a rehearsal dinner was held at Antioch Church fellowship hall. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

Co-workers of the bride held a bridal shower July 18 at the home of Susan Stade.

On July 11, the family held a bridal shower at Antioch Church.
