Mr. and Mrs. Alfaro

OAHU, Hawaii — Mary Anita Furin and Alman Maningas Alfaro of Goldsboro were united in holy matrimony June 25 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Neal H. McHenry officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Kapiolani Park of Honolulu.

Parents of the bride are Gray Franklin and Loretta Ann Autry of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Wilfredo and Felisa Maningas Alfaro of Mililani, Hawaii.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal full-length off-the-shoulder gown of white satin with a fitted bodice accented with beaded and sequin designs.

She chose a beaded headpiece accented with roses. She carried a French bouquet of lavender and white plumerias with lavender satin ribbon.

Imelda Alfaro, sister-in-law, was matron of honor.

Wilfredo Alfaro was his son’s best man.

Kristen and Alyssa, daughters, were flower girls.

A program of Hawaiian wedding music was provided.

After a wedding trip to Kahala Mandarin Oriental of Oahu, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate of science degree in medical administration. She is a homemaker.

The groom graduated cum laude from Mount Olive College in 1991 with a bachelor of applied science degree in business management and the Community College of the Air Force in 1991 with an associate of applied science degree in hospitality management. He served in the Air Force in Desert Storm. He is employed as a bar manager at the Cavern and Levels.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Willows Restaurant of Honolulu.

A reception was held July 10 at Levels of Greenville.

On June 26, the groom’s parents held an informal reception at their home.

Imelda Alfaro, sister-in-law of the groom, held a bridal shower June 23 at the home of the groom’s parents.

On May 8, Teresa Waters held a bridal shower at the home of the bride.
