SNOW HILL — Veronica DeShannon Harris and Bernard Wooten of Kinston said their vows July 17 at 3 p.m.

Pastor W.A. Lawson and Bishop Zebedee Sheppard officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Victory and Dominion World Outreach Center.

Parents of the bride are Arthur Sr. and Glinda Harris of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of Roosevelt Harris Sr. of LaGrange, Ella Jackson of Goldsboro and Thelma Dawson.

The groom is the son of the late Willie Wooten and the late Trumiller Wooten of Kinston.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a beaded Alencon lace gown with a bodice and long bell sleeves. It had a scalloped square neckline and a full skirt with an 108-inch train and beaded Alencon lace.

Cathedral Keyes was matron of honor Alyce Harris was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miracle Harris, Felecia Gooding, Nikki Benston, Pasquinucci Miller and Lori Lawson.

Albert Taylor was best man. Ushers were Anthony Harris, Charles Harris Jr., Joshua Harris, James Williams Jr. and William Lawson III. Groomsmen were Maurice Wooten, Rodney Wooten, Gregory Harris, Anthony Brown and Darnell Isler.

Junior bridesmaids were Tyshondria Price and Jessica Sutton. Junior groomsmen were Xavier Harris and Joquan Wooten.

Gabrielle Keaton was flower girl. Korleon Wooten was ring bearer.

Bonnie Lawson directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Jennifer Kittrell.

Hostesses were Tonyu Marshall, Nicole Morgan, Charmaine Morgan, Pamela Butler, Altoves Lister and Kirsten Hicklen.

A program of wedding music was provided by Joyce Dawson, pianist; Thurmond Sheppard, organist; and Darlene Dockery, Timothy David and Arthur Harris, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in LaGrange.

The bride is employed as an elementary teacher with Lenoir County Public Schools.

The groom is employed as a warehouse distributor with Coca-Cola.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Jumping Run Church.
