Mr. and Mrs. Turnage

Amanda Marie Paine of Pikeville became the bride of Terry Wayne Turnage Jr. June 19 at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Wayne Goff officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Charles B. Jr. and Laura Fail of Pikeville and Marshall and Ione Kuhns of Goldsboro are grandparents of the bride.

Terry W. Turnage and Lori Turnage of Bentonville are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harding, Sherwood Turnage and Gail Mclamb.

Given in marriage by Charles B. Fail Jr., grandfather of the bride, and escorted by Martin Evans and Jay Fail, uncles of the bride, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a sweetheart neckline. The Basque bodice was adorned with hand-beaded sequins and Schiffli lace. The full skirt was embellished at the hemline with lace, pearls and sequins. A bow and Schiffli lace adorned the semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a matching veil of two-tiered silk illusion attached to a band of white roses and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of roses and lilies.

Kimberly Evans was matron of honor. Johanna Poole, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Lee Stewart was best man. Ushers were Kevin Stewart and Josh Ammons, cousins of the groom.

Morgan Evans was flower girl.

Lynn Fail directed the ceremony. Josh Poole distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Joey Poole.

After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple is residing in Pikeville.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Rosewood High school. She attends Wayne Community College for a degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a childcare provider with Christian Care Academy.

The groom graduated from Four Oaks High School in 2004. He is employed with Langstons Country Store.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a pig picking reception at Harmony Lodge.

On May 30, Laura Fail, Lynn Fail and Kim Evans held a bridal shower at the home of Laura Fail.
