Kelli LaKish Hooker and Jeremy Kyle Corbett exchanged promises July 10 at 2 p.m.

Ronnie Weaver officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Susan C. Hooker is the mother of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Bill Crumpler and Alma H. Crumpler of Pikeville and the late Mary Lou Hooker of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Eddie and Teresa Corbett of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Sara Corbett John and Carolyn Smith and Joe and Sina Corbett of Goldsboro and the great-grandson of Mildred D. Smith of Goldsboro and the late Earl Smith.

Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, Jerimee Hooker, the bride wore an ivory organza A-line gown adorned with rum pink and metallic beaded embroidery on the bodice that flowed into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with a single-layer fingertip veil with pearls and a pencil edge. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of green hydrangeas with pink oriental lilies and miniature white calla lilies accented with white limonium tied with white satin ribbon.

Lauran Sasser of Pikeville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Corbett, sister of the groom, and Stacey Turnage and Emily Waddell of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.

Eddie Corbett was his son’s best man. Ushers were Dustin Smith, cousin of the groom, and Tommy L. Person and Steve Smith of Goldsboro, friends of the couple. Groomsmen were Brian Corbett of Greenville, brother of the groom, and Michael Cruse, Joel Waddell, Scott Herring and Robbie Radford of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.

Honorary bridesmaids were Andrea Herring, Dannie Williams, Beth Creech, Cindy Whitley and Jamie Wilson of Goldsboro.

Kati Gerken was flower girl. David Ivey was ring bearer.

Jay Sauls and Patti Wiggs directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Todd and Dannie Williams. Sara Sutton, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kim Honeycutt, pianist, and Jay Sauls and Jill Suggs Howell, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Disney World, Fla., the couple will residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 1999 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She attends East Carolina University for a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom graduated from Wayne Christian School in 1999. He attends Mount Olive College. He is co-owner of Goldsboro Powersports.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.

On July 5, Jamie Wilson and Emily Corbett held a stock-the-pantry shower at the home of the couple.

Co-workers held a miscellaneous shower June 30 at Schooner or Later.

June 25 through 27, friends held a bachelor party in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The bride’s family held a miscellaneous shower June 13 at Free Chapel Church.

On June 5, the groom’s family held a miscellaneous shower at Woods Grove Church.

A dinner was held June 4 at Schooner or Later. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

On May 15, Andrea Herring, Dannie Williams and Stacey Turnage held a his-and-her shower and cookout at the Herring home.

Lauran Sasser and friends held an engagement party May 1 at the Elk’s Lodge.

On Sept. 10, the groom’s family held an engagement party at the Village Steakhouse.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner and dance at the Steak Barn.
