Frances Nicole Rhodes of Princeton became the wife of Christopher Lee Anders July 10 at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Andy Stovall officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Thurman and Evelyn Daniels are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Otis Williford and Minnie Williford of Princeton, Cleveland Rhodes of Goldsboro and Cecil and Frances Davis of Calypso.

Steve and JoAnn Anders of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Johnny Paul Letchworth and Sarah Letchworth of Mount Olive and the late John Paul Anders and Joe and Lena Venable of Dudley.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless white silk satin wedding gown with an empire waist and a split-front pleat. Embroidery and crystals adorned the gown. White satin buttons ran down the back of the chapel-length train.

For her headpiece she chose a rhinestone tiara with an elbow-length two-tiered tulle veil with satin piping.

Lesa Mallery, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Anders, sister of the groom; Kelly Head and Kelli Gurley, friends of the bride; and Kim Murdock, cousin of the bride.

Steve Anders was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Chris Martin and Phillip Edwards of Greenville, Brandon Holland and Eddie Boren, friends of the groom.

Honorary ushers were Wray Williford of Fremont and Frank Williford of Emerald Isle.

Kayla Mallery, niece of the bride, and Erin Carteret, cousin of the groom, were flower girls.

Karen Jones of Poquoson, Va., directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Joann Daly and Rebecca Mason, family of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jennifer Anders of Goldsboro and Stephen Hill of Dunn, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Pikeville.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in medical office administration/medical insurance. She is employed as a secretary with the records office of Wayne Community College.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School in 1999. He is employed at Fibercare Carpet Cleaning.

Following the ceremony, a dance reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club. Emory and Joan Daly, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Deloris Sasser, aunt of the groom, greeted guests. Jane Williford, aunt of the bride, and Jessica Daly, cousin of the bride, served the wedding cake. Emma Louis of New Bern, aunt of the bride, and Ann Smith, friend of the bride, poured punch.

On July 9, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.

The couple’s mothers held a bridal breakfast June 26 at Bob Evans Restaurant of Smithfield.

On June 18, a bachelorette weekend was held in Wilmington.

A bachelor weekend was held June 11 in Surf City.

On June 6, the bride’s family held a miscellaneous shower at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower June 2 at Wayne Community College.

On May 23, aunts of the groom held a miscellaneous shower in Mount Olive.

Kelly Head, Jennifer Anders, Lesa Mallery and Kim Murdock held a lingerie shower May 16 at the Anders home.

On April 24, J.P. and Teri Anders, uncle and aunt of the groom, held a lawn, garden and tool party at the home of the groom’s parents.
