Leslie Eileen Brown and Michael Paul LaBiche of Pikeville pledged their wedding vows July 3 at 5 p.m.

The Rev. Jerry Jackson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Providence United Methodist Church.

William Eugene and Connie Sue Brown of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late William and Donna Brown of Goldsboro and the late Roy and Betty Walters of Dennison, Ohio.

Parents of the groom are Frank Andrew and Charlotte Ann LaBiche of Mize, Miss. He is the grandson of Margret LaBiche of Hattiesburg, Miss., Charles and Jewel Ainsworth of Mize and the late Richard LaBiche.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with re-embroidered lace, pearls and sequins enhanced with silver threading. The full A-line skirt was embroidered with lace, pearl and sequins and cascaded into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a pearl bun wrap that extended into a two-tiered veil of silk illusion fashioned with a penciled edge.

Adrienne Brown of Goldsboro, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor.

Chris Thomas of Hattiesburg was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Roy Brown of Chapel Hill and Jason Brown of Goldsboro, brothers of the bride, and Daniel Willson of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.

Brittney and Claire Brown of Goldsboro, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.

Sherry Denning of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Lindsay Thompson of Goldsboro, friend of the bride. Rebecca Howell of Robbinsville, friend of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melissa Coutts of Goldsboro, pianist and organist, and Amy and Kenny Kelly of Goldsboro, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with an associate of applied science degree in medical office administration. She is employed as a secretary with Jim Harrell Construction Co.

The groom graduated from Mize Attendance Center. He is serving in the Air Force, stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in special purpose vehicle maintenance.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Sleepy Creek.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner July 2 in the church fellowship hall.

On June 13, Maranatha Baptist Church held a silent shower in Mount Olive, Miss.

Adrienne Brown, sister-in-law of the bride, held a lingerie shower at her home.

On April 30, the fellowship class of Providence Church held a bridal shower in the fellowship hall.
