DURHAM — Amanda Ann Durst and Michael Harrison Troutman were married June 12 at 6 p.m.

Ingram Hedgpeth and Dr. Christopher Carlisle officiated at the ceremony at Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Durst of Durham. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Chester McCorquodale of Jackson, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edward Durst Jr. of Ozark, Ala.

Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison Troutman of Mount Olive are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Rebecca Troutman, Ethel Boyd Purvis, the late Loy Sigmon Troutman, Paul Fred Purvis and Harry Lee Boyd.

The bride chose a formal wedding gown. She wore her mother’s chapel-length veil.

Melissa Lee Durst and Mary Beth Durst, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor. Attendants were Michelle Anne Walker, sister of the groom, Stephanie Gail Hunter, Julia Warren Lamm and Catherine Ruth Williams.

William Harrison Troutman was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Corey Scott Beers, Jonathan Lewis Ducote, Jason David Hill, William Michael Nowell Jr., Robert William Slaughter III, Allen Charles Durst, brother of the bride, and Sergeant James Walker, brother-in-law of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple is residing in Somerset, Ky.

The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel with a bachelor of arts degree in management and sociology. She is employed by Levolor Home Fashions as a sales and marketing representative.

The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree in management with a minor in music. He is employed by Branch Bank and Trust Co. of Somerset as a financial center leader.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Croasdaile Country Club.
